In-depth Review of the SMOK Baby Mag Kit
SMOK are never too long until they release a new mod or upgrade an existing design, this time they have taken their popular and now original SMOK Mag kit and miniaturized it! Introducing the SMOK Mag Baby Kit. A tiny mod kit with the newest TFV12 Baby Prince tank. Let’s take this box mod kit for a test to see how good it is.
Design
Well, obviously this is exactly the same design as the original SMOK Mag only smaller, a lot smaller in fact. Measuring at just over 114mm tall with the tank, that’s an incredible 40mm smaller!
The design that looks like the handle of a gun has been well-liked in the vaping community as kind of bad looking, but the tiny version gives acuteness to the design! They are releasing this mod kit with the choice of 9 colors, which is always nice, and knowing SMOK more will come in the future.
Features
As this mod is small, things have to change and the biggest being the battery. Instead of running from 2 external 18650 batteries the Mag Baby kit has a built-in 1600mAh battery and therefore only capable of running up to 50W in comparison to the original that runs all the way up to 220W. This basically means it’s not going to win any awards for best vape mod but it does suit some.
This tells you one thing straight out the gate, it’s meant for casual vapers or those who need a small device to carry around with them when out on the town, or heading to the office! It can also be used for those who are looking for an e cig to quit smoking with although in our opinion there are better models out there.
It does utilize one of the latest SMOK tanks, the Baby Prince Tank, which has all the same features as the original Prince tank only, yes you’ve guessed it, it’s smaller! It still holds an impressing 4.5ml of juice, mainly thanks to the bubble-like design.

Performance
The Mag Baby Kit performs actually quite well considering the size but let’s be honest, that’s mainly thanks to the TFV12 baby tank, which seem to appear on all of the best e-cigs these days, well those made by SMOK of course. With those coils, it works well. But this mod certainly responds pretty well. A nice vape at around 30-40W that’s full of flavor and high in cloud volume!
The only real drawback for us is the internal battery, which is pretty obvious. Being vapers who usually vape at around 40-70W depending on the coil, this mod kit is pretty limited. But it wasn’t designed for everyone.
Vaping at the maximum wattage soon draws the power out of the battery and as it gets older the recharging will be more and more frequent.
To Conclude
If you’re looking for a small vape kit to stick in your pocket and forget it’s there, yet still want a good draw whenever you fancy the urge to vape then we’re sure you will love the Mag Baby kit. The tiny design looks good and performs really well.
The small internal battery makes this mod pretty limited if you’re looking for a vape mod that you’re going to use regularly, and try different tanks and builds on. Your better sticking with the original Mag kit for that.
Overall, not too bad for the right type of casual vaper. Make sure to check out our vape deals area, as this mod kit and others often pop up in the sales!
