In-depth Eleaf iStick Tria 300W TC Mod Review
Mods keep getting better from year to year, so it can sometimes be difficult for the average vaping buyer to keep up with all the changes. That effort is complicated by the sheer number of manufacturers churning out new offerings on a regular basis, which makes our job in finding the best vape mods that much harder! Fortunately, there are some really great companies out there that we can always rely on to provide us with the latest technologies for our vaping needs. Eleaf is one such company, and their latest offering is a clear example of their prowess. In this Eleaf iStick Tria 300W TC Starter Kit review, we’ll examine the new mod and see whether it lives up to expectations.
What’s in this Starter Kit Anyway?
Many vapers enjoy buying starter kits for their convenience to obtain everything they need to start vaping right away. Of course, it’s always helpful to know what’s in a given kit before you buy it. So, without further ado, let’s examine the contents of the Eleaf iStick Tria 300W TC Starter Kit to see what we’re getting for our $50-70 depending on where you shop. Of course, you may want to check out our exclusive vape deals page as this and other similar mods often come up for sale!
The kit comes with one iStick Tria Box Mod and one Ello Sub-Ohm Tank. Those are the two main components you’ll need. In addition, you get two coils for the device: one HW1 0.2-ohm Coil and one HW2 0.3-ohm Coil. The kit also comes with a 2ml Glass Segment and a 4ml Glass Segment, as well as a chimney extension. You also get the obligatory Micro USB Charging Cable and a user manual.
Some buyers are going to be unhappy that there are no batteries included with the kit, but we couldn’t be happier. The device uses three – count them: three! – 18650 batteries. Serious vaping enthusiasts typically have those on hand anyway, but if you don’t, you’re better off buying them separately. That ensures that you can get the brand you want, rather than relying on the manufacturer’s choice, you can also consult our guide on how to choose the right battery if you need to. In any event, that’s a negligible omittance and probably won’t deter anyone from trying this mod kit.
The Features
The mod itself offers up to 300 watts of consistent power output and provides an atomizer resistance range of 0.1 to 3.5 ohms. It full control of the temperature output and a bypass mode feature, while offering TCR mode as well. Coil support includes Ni200 Nickel, Stainless steel, and titanium. You can learn about the difference here. You can also finetune your output, and achieve temperatures between 200 and 600 degrees Fahrenheit or 1 – 300 Watts output depending on the mode you choose.
The screen and other features are impressive as well. There’s a 0.91″ OLED Screen where you can view and control settings, as well as a battery life indicator. That screen shows details about output wattage and temperature, amps, and resistance levels.
The batteries are loaded from the bottom. As noted, this is a device powered by three 18650 batteries. Settings and other features are controlled using a three-button system. There’s even an oversized firing button for easy operation and comfort in the hand.
Ello Sub-Ohm Tank
The tank is not the biggest on the market by any stretch of the imagination. It’s the only 2ml. The good news, though, is that the company included a 4ml glass segment so that you can opt for greater capacity if you want! The connections are all idea, as the 25mm diameter is compatible with other components.
The tank offers top fill capability and has great 0-ring sealing to protect against leaks. The fill port is easy to use as well, making this a tank with a very small learning curve. Naturally, airflow is something that most users will be worried about as well – so we’re happy to report that the tank comes with dual-adjustable airflow to help you get maximum vapor production out of this little gem.
Performance
So, how did it perform? Glad you asked! In our tests, we enjoyed consistent quality of vapor production and taste. We expected no less from Eleaf since their products almost always impress us with their excellent craftsmanship and performance capabilities. The Tria was no exception to that trend and is up there with the best vapes on the market.
The price is right too, as you can get this device for under $70 online. That moderate price and great performance may make this mod one of the true sleeper hits of 2017. The bottom line couldn’t be clearer. we highly recommend this starter kit for vapers who are looking for a great mod/tank combo that does everything that it claims to do.
To Conclude
Overall the Eleaf iStick Tria Mod kit is great, powered by 3 x 18650 batteries producing up to 300W, this unit has really been designed for the regular vaper who wants their mod to last! The Ello tank is a great accompaniment to the mod, producing some really flavorful vape clouds that compete against any other mod kit on the market. For around $60-$70 you can’t complain, you get everything you want from a mod, except the batteries of course! We highly recommend this starter kit for vapers who are looking for a great mod/tank combo that does everything that it claims to do. Get yours today.
