In-depth Joyetech CuBox AIO Review
While it can sometimes seem as though the market for box mods is in danger of being saturated, few vaping enthusiasts can resist the allure of new mods. In fact, many of us feel compelled to check out every new or different mod that hits the marketplace. That’s especially true when the product is coming from a company that we know and love – like Joyetech, for instance. Well, that company has a new box mod called the CuBox, so you know we just had to give it a trial run. In this Joyetech CuBox AIO 2000 mAh Starter Kit review, we’ll talk about the experience and try to determine whether this newest Joyetech product lives up to the company’s sterling reputation for excellence and make it as one of the best vape devices on the market.
What Is It?
If you’re unfamiliar with the term ‘AIO’ then we should probably explain that right up-front. AIO stands for “all-in-one” – which simply means that the kit comes with everything needed to begin vaping right out of the box. Well, except for the juice, of course.
That’s a distinct advantage for most vaping fans since it ensures that you have all the components you need to enjoy your vaping lifestyle.
The Package
So, what comes with this package then? Glad you asked! The CuBox AIO kit comes with the mod, a .6ohm proC-BF head, manual, USB cable, spare parts, and warranty card. The mod itself comes in a variety of different colors and has nice rounded contour edges that give it a sleek, space-age appearance. If you’re a fan of that high-tech look, then this one will surely catch your eye. Colors include blue, green, a soft reddish hue, silver, and black. Be sure to check out our vape deals page as this mod and many like it often pop up at unbelievable prices!
The device is easily disassembled, with a top piece that comes off without any difficulty whatsoever. That’s in spite of its firm connection to the bottom. That top piece includes both the drip tip and cap. The drip tip is a real gem and seems to be perfectly crafted for multipurpose use. We tested it using two different vaping techniques – lung hits and mouth-to-lung. Both worked really well. It also includes a well-made O-ring that should help to ensure that you don’t experience any leaking while you use the mod. And let’s be honest: nobody likes leaks!
That cap covers up the fill port, which is slightly recessed. Inside, you’ll find a couple of nicely-sized openings that you can use to pour your favorite e-liquid into the tank. We tested a few different juice bottles and found that the holes were large enough for easy pouring, without any spillover into the air holes. And while we’re on the subject of airflow, this mod has plenty of that as well. The chimney contains a couple of airflow holes, and the AFC ring is built with four adjustable slots that you can use to finetune your airflow.
The Tank
The tank is probably the only part of this device that we took issue with. Its only 2ml in capacity, which is a far cry from many of the 4ml or 6ml tanks on the market today. And since it’s a built-in tank, you can’t simply customize it by adding a larger-capacity component to the mod. Some users might not be too concerned about that since you can just refill whenever you need more juice. If you’re out and about, however, that can quickly grow tiresome.
The Power
The battery is internal as well, and is a single 2000mAh unit that provides plenty of battery life and power, unlike other mods that have external 18650 batteries. There’s a battery meter on the outside of the device to show you your current battery life and a charging port. Overall, the design is competent, sleek, and somewhat elegant. It’s also small enough to fit in the front pocket of a shirt and has a stealthy feel that should appeal to almost anyone who vapes.

Vaping with the CuBox
As mentioned earlier, our tests included both MTL (mouth to the lung) and lung hits. The MTL is decent and should appeal to that type of vaping. The lung hit is restrictive and doesn’t provide the type of vapor production that cloud chasers might prefer. In fact, the consensus in our test group was that this vaping experience is reminiscent of smoking a cigarette so could be ideal for those looking for an e cig to quit smoking with.
That cigarette-like experience is not a bad thing, mind you. In fact, it’s enough to earn this mod a recommendation from our site – but only because they see it as a truly great option for those who are transitioning away from burner cigarettes. So, if you’re a smoker who’s trying to quit with vaping, this mod could be the answer. Give it a try.
