Aspire Speeder 200W Review Bottom Line
Aspire design some pretty good looking mods, and the Speeder 200W is no exception. With a powerful 200W mod and a tank that can handle the subtle flavor juices, this kit is a great addition to your collection or a great mod to start out with.
If you’re a fan of Aspire mods, then you’re always on the lookout to see what the company is coming out with next. The mod industry has seldom been more competitive, and the battle to come up with newer and better mods is intense. Aspire has traditionally been up to that challenge, though, so one would expect that its latest entrant into the market would continue in that tradition. With the introduction of the Speeder, we get an opportunity to see whether this well-known manufacturer is still poised on the cutting-edge of vape technology. In this Aspire Speeder 200W review, we’ll examine this new mod and offer our take on this hot company’s newest product offering.
The Speeder 200W is an attractively-designed device, with rubber on the exterior that makes it very comfortable to hold in the hand similar looking to their earlier Aspire Zelos model that was very popular but only achieved 50W, this beast boasts 200W of power! It’s well-rounded, symmetrical, and ergonomically sound. It also comes in three gorgeous finishes, including gold, silver, and the obligatory black. The mod and tank are designed to match perfectly, making this one mod that you’ll be comfortable showing off to all your friends! From a design standpoint, there is virtually nothing to dislike about the Speeder and is one of the best vape mod designs around.
When you look at that outer casing, you’ll notice that the Speeder has a very solid and cutting-edge design. It’s clear that Aspire intended for this to be an appealing option for the more tech-minded vapers out there since it’s about as far from a boring box mod as they could possibly get. The Speeder has venting holes at the bottom, which also happens to be where the battery door is located. The up-down button is below the display screen, while the fire button is just around the corner. In short, the design and placement of all the essential components are just about perfect.
On the spec front, the Speeder boasts equally impressive credentials. The device is comfortably-sized, coming in at 88mm by 31mm by 46mm, and an average weight. The two 18650 batteries it requires (they’re not included with the unit) should provide you with consistent power to achieve output between 1 and 200 watts. Voltage ranges between 0.1 and 8.4V.
The Speeder is a temperature control device and offers temperatures that range from 200℉ to 600℉. That’s sure to provide most users with the flexibility they need to properly customize their vaping experience. You have several different usage modes to choose from, including VW, VV, Bypass, temperature control, and more.
The display screen is just under an inch, and auto-adjusts for ease-of-use. The controls are easy to use, so most users won’t have any trouble finding the settings they need as they work to customize their device to suit their needs. And yes, it’s an OLED screen – offering a crystal-clear presentation of all the important data you need to see.
While the device doesn’t show up at your doorstep with the batteries you need, it does contain everything else. In addition to the Speeder mod, you also receive a sturdy Athos tank and an extra drip tip – as well as a glass tube. There is also one extra A3 Kanthal AF Tri-coil head included in the package, 12 O-ring replacements, the USB cable you need to charge your unit, a manual, and warranty card.
The mod chipset provides monitoring for both batteries to help ensure consistent performance. Of course, once we heard that, we couldn’t wait to get out hands on the Speeder to put it through its paces. We love a challenge, after all.
So, how did the Aspire Speeder perform during out trials? Not surprisingly, it proved its worth in every way that matters. Although it’s not exactly the best e-cig to quit smoking with, we did enjoy the flexibility that the device offered. The Speeder allows you to use wide bore drip tips to maximize your vapor production, or smaller tips to enhance the flavor. We tried both options and found that they were each very impressive. We were blowing huge vapor clouds in no time at all, and the Speeder seemed to take it all in stride. We also found that the small tip flavor-enhancing option provided consistently pure taste throughout our entire test session. Well done, Aspire!
To comply with the TPD Aspire have launched 2 versions of the kit, the only difference being either a 2ml or 4ml tank. Here’s what you get in the kit:
We were very impressed with everything that the Speeder has to offer and it is one of the best e-cigs in it’s type as shown here. It’s a powerful, well-made mod that has a lot to offer to virtually any vaper out there today. We also liked the fact that you can get your own Aspire Speeder 200W mod online for around $80! As a result of these features and that competitive price, we highly recommend this mod for all intermediate and advanced vapers.
