Full In-depth Review of the Tesla Invader 2/3 Mod
The Invader 2/3 is the follow-up offering to the original Invader III, and offers a whole host of powerful features that will have you chasing clouds like a sky jockey in no time at all. Aimed in competition with the popular SMOK GX2/4 you’ll see similar features, but with a simple yet functional design. You have maximum control over your power output, using the adjustable voltage capabilities, and can opt for a range of settings that vary from 3 to 4 volts at ¼ intervals. You can even set the potentiometer using nothing more than the edge of a tweezer, coin or your fingernails.
You don’t even need to adjust the wattage directly since the voltage will handle that based on the coils you select. As far as those coils go, you can choose from coils that range from 0.1 to 3 ohms, providing you with plenty of options for your resistance settings. The wattage adjusts to those coils and voltage settings to provide you with steady power at your desired resistance level. What could be easier?
The Battery Configuration
You also have a lot of flexibility when it comes to the type of wattage power you want to use during your battery selection process.
With the Teslacigs Invader 2/3 360W Box Mod, you get to choose between using a two or three battery configuration. It is recommended to use the best 18650 batteries you can get. With 2 batteries in place, you can ensure maximum wattage of 240W.
The three-battery option adds an additional 120W to that total. The device also comes with two separate battery backs – one that you use with the two-battery option and the other for the three-battery configuration.
To be honest, the latter battery configuration is probably the only real question mark that we have about this device since there are no magnets or doors that seem to keep the thing together. It’s tight when it’s new, but how sturdy will it all be as time takes its inevitable toll? I guess time will tell.
Basic Setup
There is no temperature control with the mod, so it’s a bit of a throwback in that regard when you compare it to some of the best box mods on the market. That doesn’t mean that it’s inferior, of course, since there will be plenty of hardcore cloud chasers who will appreciate it for its sheer power and reliability. Still, it is a bit of a dinosaur when it comes to the tech side of the equation. It’s hard to see many serious vapers getting interested in a device that doesn’t even have a screen to manage settings or view device info. Why Tesla chose to leave our that feature is beyond me.
On the plus side, this device does come with a lot of the standard regulated protections which helps if you’re concerned with vaping explosions or general safety. There’s a ten second limit for inhalation, and the device won’t work if you put the batteries in upside-down. The device is also protected when you are running on low voltage, and there are safeguards to prevent the atomizer from short-circuiting. Protections are also there to guard against excessive heat and current.

OVERALL
Taken as a whole, this is a good product for anyone who just wants to get as much power as possible out of a mod. There are no real special features to commend it other than that power and reliability.
However, I think that this device should be in the toolbox of any serious vaper who needs a solid, daily-use mod that he can rely on to be there for all his power-vaping needs. If your looking for something a little different then be sure to check out our list of the best e-cigarettes where we categorize them to make it easier for you to find your perfect product.
It may not be everything that you might expect from the Tesla brand, but it’s definitely worth buying. Just be sure to combine it with a solid RDA to ensure that you get the most bang for your buck. That added airflow will ensure that you’re not wasting this beast of a mod or the power that it provides. With that said, our recommendation is that you give this mod a try. While it might not be a magnificent piece of high-tech machinery, it is one of the best at what it claims to do.
Lastly the setting are very basic, and if your use to using wattage as an indicator the below table helps you figure out the power depending on the atomizer resistance:
