Indepth Wotofo Recurve Dual RDA Review
We all remember how successful the original Wotofo Recurve RDA was thanks to the ingenious design from Mike Vapes. Well, the two have collaborated again this time with a dual coil version. Introducing the new Wotofo Recurve dual RDA, the real question is though, is this better than the original, or should they have left it alone? We’ll take a look in our full review.

Design
Wotofo has been battling with the design of the Recurve Dual in order to have a deck that's easy to build on and yet hold 2 coils. They have achieved this by making the inside diameter that big bigger with the consequence of losing the curvy looks that the original held. By doing this they have managed to keep the outside diameter the same of 24mm, and actually dropping the total height by 1mm to 34mm. That's an amazing job overall, managing to actually reduce the size and fit dual coils within!
As you expect there are many colors to choose from including stainless steel, black, gunmetal, gold, blue and rainbow and within the kit they include a squonk pin for those who want to use this tank on their squonker, as well as a couple of coils and cotton, so you can pretty much build this complete with everything they provide.
On top of the tank holds the removable 810 resin drip tip and on the side is the familiar honeycomb air slots which are adjustable like the original Recurve as well as the nice deep juice well to hold plenty of e-liquid.

The Deck
The one main difference with the Recurve Dual RDA Deck over the original single coil deck is the space between the airflow walls, achieved as we said by reducing the curves on the outer walls of the tank. Another thing you will notice on these walls is the size of the holes, they have obviously increased the diameter from 1mm to 1.5mm to accommodate the 2 coils, they are also slightly angled down to try to get that airflow as close to the coils as possible to improve flavor. The overall concept of the whole build deck is the same, but just enlarging it, which they have achieved really well.
A nice touch is that Wotofo has included a coil ruler within the kit, it's recommended that you cut the coils to 7mm, so using the ruler you place the coils in and cut to length really simply. Placing the coils on to the deck is simple and it's also nice to see a separate screw for each coil leg to make this deck really simple to build on.
The deck works really well, especially if you use the best vape products alongside.

Performance
Using the coils provided in the kit along with the provided cotton the build is measuring on our mod at 0.14ohms. We starting the test at a relatively low wattage of 45W with the airflow fully open. The first thing that strikes us is the smoothness of the airflow, not a lot of resistance in comparison to the single coil version.
The flavor is great, although we do prefer mesh coil type RDAs and RTAs like their Profile Unity RTA or even the Vandy Vape Kylin M RTA. That said there's really not that much of a difference so great job there! The improved flavor probably is due to the angled airflow holes which are now closer to the coils.
Closing the airflows down from fully open (6 holes open) to just 4 holes adds a lot more resistance to the vape, not really something we enjoy but an option nevertheless. We also found the more you close the airflow the worse the RDA performs.
Using the wattage now to 80W to the higher end brings in a warmer vape obviously and thank goodness, still brings in the flavor, as long as the airflow is fully open. Any higher than 80W get's a little uncomfortable particularly if you chain vape at this power, mainly due to the low profile of the drip tip.

TL;DR
The Wotofo Recurve Dual RDA is a great improvement to the original whilst redesigning it to hold 2 coils. We're not getting as much flavor as those RTA's which utilize mesh coils, but for standard coils, it's one of the best dual coil RDAs on the market right now. It's not fair to judge it against the best sub ohm tanks that use stock coils, but if you were, it wins hands down!
The RDA has a nice need drip well to hold plenty of e-liquid so if your dripping it reduces the number of times you need to re-juice the coils! Wotofo also includes a squonk pin so it's capable of working with your favorite Squonk Mod also.
Overall we were pleasantly surprised that Wotofo and Mike Vapes managed to redesign the Recurve to not only hold 2 coils but to keep the size pretty much the same and, dare we say it, improve the flavor from this RDA.
