Smok Fetch Pro Kit Bottom Line

The new Smok Fetch Pro Pod Mod delivers, it's that simple. With the new 0.17-ohm conical mesh RGC Pod the flavor and vape quality compete against any coil on the market, producing a beautiful full direct lung inhale vape. Whether or not you like vape pods or not, there is no denying the quality that SMOK has achieved here. Also nice to see airflow control, type C charging port and a removable 18650 battery so you can carry spares if you need too.

In-depth Smok Fetch Pro Review

Pod vapes are all the rage these days, with the top vape brands releasing new model after model. Smok, being one of the best, has also not let up in their quest of being one of the top e-cigarette producers, releasing their new Pod Mod named the Fetch Pro. So how does this Pod Mod compare with others on the market and does it suit all types of vapers? We take a closer look to find out.

Design of the Fetch Pro by SMOK

Design

One of the first thing that strikes you is the beautiful design of the Fetch Pro, SMOK really knows how to make a gorgeous looking vape and they have done really well here! As usual, they have a number of colors to choose from, six in total, which include; black, green, orange, blue, silver, and red, so you should find one you like.

The Fetch Pro is pretty small as well, measuring in with a height of 93.5mm, a width of 46mm and a depth of just 22mm this pod mod will easily fit in your pocket without too many problems.

On the front of the Fetch Pro, you see a tiny slot just below the pod, this is for the airflow, so try not to cover this when you vape. Below this is the 0.96″ TFT Color screen that displays the current wattage, the resistance of the coil, battery indicator, puff counter and timer and a lock indicator, all well laid out and easy to read. Below the screen are 2 buttons to adjust the wattage and settings, then on the side is the nice long fire button and the type C port to support recharging and firmware updates. Finally at the bottom is the battery cap which you can open to remove your 18650 battery.

The good news is that SMOK has now released a new vape pod, we take a look at it in our Smok RPM 80 Pro Vape Pod Review, spoiler alert: It’s only got better!

Features of the Fetch Pro by Smok

Features

The idea behind the SMOK Fetch Pro is to make it as simple as possible for the vaper to use, and this AIO (All in One) Pod Mod is certainly that. Supporting power of up to 80W powered by a single external 18650 battery, it’s not exactly a light hitter either. It’s no secret, this pod mod is obviously in competition with the Vaporesso Target PM80 with almost identical features, and boy was that a great pod mod.

In the kit you do get 2 pods, they are different, one is the RPM Pod which is a 0.4-ohm mesh coil, best around 25W and the other is the RGC Pod which has a 0.17-ohm conical mesh coil, best around 40-80W, which is basically a custom-designed mesh coil to utilize even more flavor for this bottom airflow designed device. These pods hold just over 4ml of e-liquid. They are held in place by 4 tiny magnets which seem to do a good job of holding it in place.

Both pods do support airflow control, to adjust this you do have to remove the pod and spin the collar above the coil, which can be a little inconvenient, but at least it won’t get knocked out of position when its in your pocket.

It’s also nice to see that SMOK has included all the standard safety features within this device, these include; resistance recognition, puff monitor, safety cut off, short circuit protection, overheat protection and a low battery warning.

Typically SMOK are using the 5 click function to turn the device on and off. Also, clicking the power button 3 times locks the device and a padlock should appear on the screen. To lock just the wattage you hold down the up and down buttons at the same time. When the device is on you can clear the puff counter by clicking the power button together with the down button. The last feature is by clicking the power button and the up button together, this scrolls through different screen colors available.

Testing the SMOK Fetch Pro

Performance

To start the test we are using the RGC Pod which has a 0.17-ohm conical mesh coil, setting the wattage to 70W and the airflow fully open. We are using our standard 70/30 VG/PG e-liquid that we use in all our tests.

These coils are great! The flavor is really hitting hard and the vape is smooth with plenty of clouds and a nice hit. Overall this is a great direct lung vape. As it’s running from a single 18650 battery you do have to make sure your battery is a good quality one to hit these wattage levels. Also, battery life is obviously going to be limited.

Switching to the RPM mesh coil and turning down to 25W, again with the same e-liquid.

Again the vape is really flavorful, but after using the RGC coil it feels a little suppressed, this is probably because of the much lower wattage. Still a great vape though. I guess this pod is more for the person who wants their vape to last a lot longer, without having to carry spare batteries around!

Conclusion

SMOK has done a great job in producing an all in one pod mod that delivers not just a great flavored vape but also satisfies the big cloud vapers with such a small device. The new RGC coils are just great, producing a beautiful warm flavorful vape which competes with all the best vape pods out there.

This new pod mod has taken the crown as the best vape pod, but only by a whisker. The Vaporesso Target PM80, although producing a great vape has 2 disadvantages in comparison (albeit small). One is the Type C charging port which SMOK has used here and the other is an external 18650 battery. It’s a lot easier to switch battery rather than having to wait for the device to recharge.

Overall, we loved the SMOK Fetch Pro and if you love these all in one pod mods, you will too. The flavor and vape quality is nothing but beautiful!
